Turnaround / Outage Planning & Execution
I plan and run full turnarounds and shutdown windows — scope, sequencing, manpower, vendors, and critical path. I stay involved through preparation, execution, and restart to keep the work controlled and get the unit back online safely and on schedule. The goal is simple: you only have to do this once, not spend the next month fixing what should have been done during the outage.
Commissioning & Start-Up Support
I take systems from “mechanical complete” to running safely in the field. I work with operations, maintenance, and contractors to follow the right procedures, confirm quality, and bring equipment online cleanly. I focus on stable first start / restart and a clean handoff to operations instead of a chaotic scramble to get production back.
Training & Field Readiness
Before critical work starts, I get everyone aligned — operations, maintenance, and contractors. I walk teams through the plan, roles, sequence, QA/QC expectations, and what “good” actually looks like in the field. The result is disciplined execution instead of guesswork during shutdown, start-up, or turnaround.
Rotating Equipment Support & Troubleshooting
I diagnose and recover issues on critical rotating equipment and get assets back into reliable service quickly. I’m focused on solving the real problem, not just clearing an alarm. That includes on-site troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, and supporting safe return to operation for compressors, turbines, and other high-risk equipment.
Project Controls & Scheduling
I build realistic schedules, track progress in the field, and surface risks early so leadership knows exactly where the job stands. I provide daily and weekly look-aheads, protect the critical path, and keep cost and downtime from drifting because of late surprises.
Vendor & Material Coordination
I coordinate vendors, parts, consumables, and specialty services so work doesn’t stall in the middle of an outage. I make sure the right people and the right materials are on site when the schedule calls for them, not two days later. This keeps execution moving instead of waiting on procurement.
QA/QC & Documentation Control
I keep the paper trail tight. I develop and manage QA/QC documentation, redlines, and turnover packs so what was actually built or repaired in the field matches what was approved. You get clean handover documents that operations and maintenance can trust on Day 1.
Root Cause Failure Analysis
When something fails, I lead the investigation to find the real cause and stop it from coming back. I build corrective and preventive actions that can actually be implemented in the plant — not just a report that gets filed and ignored.
